14 DAY CHALLENGE

CLEAN 14

Eating Gods food to a healthier new you

Clean 14 Goals:

Consume: Whole Nutrient Dense Foods!

Eliminate: Toxic Inflammatory Foods that God never intended us eating!

Hey, welcome to Clean 14! I want to applaud you for setting forth goals to change your life and

become the healthy person God created you to be. Because let’s be honest, God doesn’t want or cause us to be sick, our own life choices cause that. I know something has brought you to this decision of change, and I assure you Clean 14 and eating God’s way is the solution to healing your body.  See God designed our bodies with the ability to heal itself. (A liver can regenerate in 7 years, your immune system in only 3 days) However, It can only do this if we choose to give it the proper nutrition. Everything we eat either provides life, health and healing or inflammation and disease.  So I encourage to focus on this one question every time you eat.

Did God create this food and did man/factory touch it or alter it?

(See this question directly correlates with the answers.)

God’s food = brings life, health and healing

Man/Factory imitation food = causes inflammation and disease

So Why 14?

Because let’s be honest. Change is hard. And working on small goals is a little less daunting. You can always eat this way for 21, 30 or 60 days, but let’s start with 14.  Because in just 14 days, you can see a huge difference. And after 14 days when you try to go back to Debbie snacks and McDonalds, you will feel horrible.  You will see the impact these foods have on your body.  We have been eating so badly for so long we don’t even see the damage its doing. It’s like the teenager that starts smoking.  He gags and coughs the first time he smokes.  He endures because it’s cool and soon he is smoking with no problems at all.  Did smoking all of a sudden become good for him? No, it is damaging his entire body every time he takes a puff. His body has only adapted.

We also use this diet as an elimination diet for certain foods that can be known allergens.  At the end, we will transition to a clean diet with broader rules and more variety.  But eating this way really allows our bodies to rest and repair. Do not stop Clean 14 without guidance on the next step -Reintroduction.

Clean 14 Guidelines

No calorie restrictions! Eat to fullness! Do not overeat! Learn to listen to your body!

Eat all your meals in a 12 hour window, ex- 6am – 6pm,  7am – 7pm or intermittent fasting

Eat Whole, Unprocessed Foods.

NOTHING PACKAGED! If God didn’t make it, don’t eat it! For example: a zucchini from the produce section, organic meat from the butcher. There should not be an ingredient list or nutritional label.  The food is the ingredient!

Eat beef, lamb, game, organ meats, poultry and eggs from pasture-fed organic animals.

Eat wild caught fish (not farm-raised) from unpolluted waters.

Eat fresh organic vegetables & fruit. 2:1 Ratio (2cups of veggies can eat 1cup of fruit)

Use vegetables in salads and soups, or lightly steamed with butter, roasted, or stir-fried. (Cooked vegetables are easier on the stomach)

Eat homemade stocks & soups from the bones of chicken, beef, lamb and fish.

Eat Healthy Fats

Use animal fats, such as organic lard or tallow, organic free-range eggs, and real butter/ghee liberally.  (These are going to feed your brain & keep you full longer)

You need to read the ingredients since this is the only food you will eat that comes in a package.

Use only traditional organic vegetable oils— coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, avocado oil, and grapeseed oil

Make your own salad dressing using raw vinegar, organic extra virgin olive oil, expeller-expressed flax oil or sesame oil. All store bought salad dressing are made with bad fats.

Water

Use filtered water for cooking and drinking.

Drink filtered water (half your body weight in oz.), herbal organic teas, water flavored with whole citrus fruits and herbs.

Seasonings

Use unrefined sea salt and a variety of herbs and spices for food interest and appetite stimulation. Do not use seasoning packets.

Keep In Mind

Cook only in stainless steel, cast iron, glass or good quality enamel.

Use only natural, food-based supplements.

Get plenty of sleep, exercise and natural light.

Think positive thoughts, practice forgiveness and thankfulness, and pray over your food!
