                Salad Dressing

You can use olive oil and red wine vinegar or make our own dressing with olive oil. Even the salad dressing dry mix packets contain soy.

Buy a good seasonings glass shaker bottle.  It has a line for vinegar, oil, and water.  Start with your acid (vinegar or lemon juice) fill to the acid line, then add water to the water line, then add your olive oil to the oil line, then add seasonings (garlic, fresh herbs, pepper flakes, salt, pepper). Shake and refrigerate.  Play with the ingredients and find your favorite dressing.  To make a creamy dressing add 1 tsp of sour cream or yogurt.

You can also turn that mayo into Ranch dressing. Look up the Pioneer Woman Ranch Dressing recipe.

Homemade Mayo:

  • 1 egg and 1 extra yolk

  • ¼ t sea salt

  • 1 t apple cider vinegar

  • 1 drop Young Living lemon essential oil or 1 tsp of lemon juice (optional)

  • 1 c avocado or grapeseed oil

  • pinch of cayenne pepper

  • Set out all your ingredients and let them come to room temperature.

  • Place your eggs and sea salt in the blender and blend on low for a just a few seconds.

  • Add apple cider vinegar and a drop or two of your Young Living lemon essential oil

  • Blend for about 10 seconds on low.

  • Slowly drizzle in your olive oil. Watch it thicken up before your eyes!

Refrigerate after making.
