
Easing Into The Purification Program
When starting any cleanse or detox, you should ease into the process. You can not go from drinking soda and coffee and eating the SAD (Sad American Diet) to eating clean and taking cleanse pills without experiencing some detox symptoms. Gradually changing your food choices can prevent these detox syptoms. So what are detox symptoms? Detox symptoms can range from headaches, to achy muscles, and irritability. These symptoms occur when your body can not elliminate the toxins as fast as your body is cleansing. We want to cleanse slowly and gently. There are two ways to accomplish this goal. We suggest a week of slowly changing your diet as well as supporting certain organs with extra nutrition to prepare them to cleanse and detoxify your body. We suggest feeding your livers with approx. 12 A-F Betafood a day for 1 week in prep work for the cleanse. Below is a journal of one person's jounrey the week prior to starting the 21-day program. You can use it to guide your food choices the week before starting the Standard Process 21-day Program. This is a patients journal; Note their symptoms and learn from their experience.
Sample Transition Diet: Day 1
This person eats pretty clean already. If you do not, then just taper off soda and caffine slowly and eat as many vegetables as possible. Nutrient dense food will support your body to purify and cleanse.
Breakfast: 8:30am: Green Smoothie with powders and lemon, blueberries, spinach
Breakfast Supplements: 4 AF Betafood (beets to prep the liver for the cleanse)
2 Albaplex (to help my kidneys eliminate)
Calamari oil (I don't put my fat in the smoothie just take with it, mostly bc of the taste)
2 Zypan to aid in digestion
3 Catalyn (multi-vitamin)
Mid-Morning Snack: 11am
5oz of grilled chicken (ideally you would eat with veggies for lunch but I had just got back in from out of town and hey it's day 1)
Lunch: 145pm
Green Smoothie with powders with 2oz of unsweetened coconut cream, strawberries, spinach, 1/2 banana
Supplements: 2 zypan, 4 AF Betafood, 2 Albaplex
Mid afternoon snack: 5pm
Epic bar
Dinner: 730pm
4oz of hummus
2tbl pesto
1 c of grape tomatoes to dip
And I gave in and ate one thin piece of gf pizza crust left over on my child's plate. Bad but not so bad for day 1 TRANSITION! And it was really good to get the rest of the dip up. Lol.
Supplements:
4 AF Betafood and 2 Albaplex
Bad detox side effects: After both smoothies I got really tired but some Catalyn and 2 spleen pulled me right out. And around 630pm my body got achy so I took 2 Glutathione and it went right away.
As you lose fat you also eliminate toxins. Toxins are stored in your fat cells. These toxins will cause discomfort and unpleasant symptoms. The best way to eliminate these symptoms is to give your body the most nutrition to support your organs to do their job of capturing those toxins and properly eliminating them from your body for good!
Great first day Transition I think! I now see how important transition is and not stopping caffeine and junk food cold turkey on day 1.

Notes: Miracle Day 3! I feel on cloud 9! Lots of energy & lots of mental clarity! Why don't I eat like this all the time. I think all the nutrients have caught up, bc I felt great despite not taking any supplements today. I don't know why I didn't! I guess by body was telling me take the day off.
