Detoxification Clay Therapy

Clay is one of the safest, easiest, and least expensive detoxing substances available today.  Clay is a non-evasive treatment, and when it is properly used, clay treatments cause no harm. Rapid healing often results, such as a noticeable reduction in pain, irritation, and inflammation, even when many other methods have failed.

Detoxification Clay Therapy is used to treat everything from tired, achy muscles to heavy metal poisoning, radiation and chemical/pesticide exposure. Very recently, some surprising and encouraging results have been reported when using clay baths to treat autism.

Certain clays have the ability to remove toxins through the pores of the skin.  Because of clay's excellent drawing effect, the clay has the power to literally pull toxicities through the pores of the skin. Clay baths stimulate the lymphatic system and deeply cleans the body's largest breathing organ (the skin).

Resolving the primary causes of chronic disease is facilitated by proper nutrition, exercise and detoxifying. Clay therapy has been used for thousands of years by indigenous people around the world, has passed the test of time to be a superior natural detoxification method.

Targeted Clay Therapy Question & Answer:
For the dramatic story of Dr. Gaie's first TCT patient watch the video clip above.

The human body is made up of some 37 trillion cells organized into systems that allow us to  think, move, grow, reproduce, eat,  excrete, detoxify, create energy and many more functions.  In part, the coordination of all these functions is performed by our brain and nervous system.  It is also controlled by acupuncture meridians and by bio-energy fields, or biofields.  Our trillions of cells create a biofield whereby they communicate and coordinate how our body works.

Injuries and scars can disrupt this cellular biofield.  These biofield disruptions can cause nearly any health problem!  Pain, chronic inflammation, constipation,  endometriosis, inability to lose weight, digestive problems, heart problems, learning issues and mood disorders are just some of the  problems that can develop from injuries and scars. Until recently there was no method to find and treat biofield disruption caused by injuries and scars.

At Olena Wellness injuries and scars are addressed early in treatment, initially with Injury Recall Technique (IRT) which provides quick neurological correction, almost like debugging a computer, and results in remarkable changes, pain relief and improved function  very quickly.  However, when these remarkable changes do not last, the injuries and scars are best addressed with Targeted Clay Therapy which has a more lasting effect.
Injuries and scars tend to inhibit and interfere with cellular activity which leads to a build-up of toxins and decreased function.  Whole systems and organs can be affected, leading to discomfort and disease.  This can be dramatically reversed with Targeted Clay Therapy.

How Do I Know if I Would Benefit From Targeted Clay Therapy?
If you have had significant injuries such as head injuries, whiplash, broken bones, surgery scars such as mastectomy, appendectomy, C-Section or episiotomy, chemotherapy, IV ports, drainage tubes, you are a candidate for TCT.  Sites of local anesthesia, local infections, venomous injuries and vaccine sites are also an indication that TCT may help you.  Most significant illnesses have at least a partial component related to injury or scars.

Your doctor or trained practitioner will determine specifically if you can benefit from TCT and whether your body is ready for it.  Some people need nutritional support or other treatment first, before they can safely benefit from Targeted Clay Therapy.

What Will I Experience During and After Targeted Clay Therapy?
The doctor determines the goal  or "Target" of TCT   for each individual patient.  The Olena team, trained professional doctors, nurses or massage therapists, will use muscle testing techniques to determine which areas to treat.  The patient lies modestly draped in a private room.  The practitioner applies the clay, a mixture of clays, volcanic  and peat bog minerals and herbs mixed to a consistency of finger paint with water, aloe or herbal tinctures and essential oils.  The areas treated are specific; this is not a general spa treatment but a targeted treatment in which every inch is tested for specificity.  After the clay mixture is applied the patient rests for about twenty minutes while the clay "works" and when it is finished they wash off the clay in a private shower.  They are given  extra water and special supplements to help the body excrete the large amount of toxins released by the treatment and encouraged to get extra rest if needed.  Allow about two   hours per treatment.
Most patients feel very relaxed both during and after the treatment, many feel energized and some feel tired.  A few may get a mild cleansing reaction or headache which may be relieved by an Epsom Salts bath. The doctor or practitioner is available by phone to answer questions or concerns.  The long lasting results are that the cellular biofield begins to function better as cells detoxify and communicate again.  The patient achieves a higher level of functional health.

Are There Any Risks to Targeted Clay Therapy?
The real risk is in having disruptions of the biofield, with the resulting dysfunction of organs and systems that can result in disease!  The only risk with TCT is that toxins are quickly released as the cellular biofield is restored.  If the patient is very toxic that can lead to a "cleansing reaction" which feels like a light case of the flu, or perhaps mild fatigue and a headache.  These symptoms are actually a sign that the therapy was very much needed and is working well, but the therapy is designed to minimize after-effects and most people will not experience any symptoms except increased well-being.   Pregnant women require special treatment to avoid exposing the baby to toxins, and nursing mothers may be asked to forego nursing for four to six hours.

Is Targeted Clay Therapy Safe For Children?
Absolutely!  We have had excellent results with children and infants.  The birth process itself can cause injury and TCT is gentle and safe.  It is exceptionally successful when combined with chiropractic care and nutritional support.   We have special low rates for children so that this remarkable and safe therapy will be accessible for little ones.   We  want children to get the best possible start!

What Have Been Some Outcomes of Targeted Clay Therapy?
TCT is always beneficial and sometimes dramatically life-changing.  Specific cases include a Galloping Heart Syndrome (167 beats per minute) which was resistant to five different medications; the patient was advised to have ablation (scarring) of the heart followed by a pacemaker.  This patient was completely restored to a normal heartbeat (72 beats per minute)   by three  Targeted Clay Therapy treatments.  Post-mastectomy, radiation and chemotherapy  pain has been completely erased or dramatically reduced.  Necrosis developing after Brown Recluse spider bites has been reversed with complete healing within a week.  Abnormal menstrual cycles have normalized. The results are as varied and individual as each patient.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?
It depends on your goals and current state of health.  One treatment may make a significant difference but generally the minimum for permanent results is three.  Some severe and chronic cases have benefited from a dozen or more treatments spread out over time.  Treatments are usually performed weekly at first, and then further apart.  When treatment is complete it will not need to be repeated.  Results are permanent.

Are There Any Other Benefits of TCT?  What Will It Cost?
One noticeable benefit of TCT is that as the cellular biofield is restored, far fewer nutritional supplements are necessary.  This results in a considerable cost savings over time.   Chiropractic adjustments also hold longer.  General well-being is higher.  And, of course, if specific health conditions clear up the patient may avoid needing drugs or surgery.  Ultimately TCT is an investment in your health that pays off many times over.
Often, vitality simply improves overall.  Joints are less painful, the mind is sharper, sleep is better, emotions are more balanced.
The cost of a typical Targeted Clay Therapy treatment is $90.  Special rates for infants and children range from $39 to $65.

                                                CLAY THERAPY AFTER CARE
To get maximum benefit from your TCT treatment you should:
Clay therapy releases toxins.  Some of these toxins are absorbed into the clay.  Some enter the bloodstream to be excreted by the kidneys and some enter the gut to be excreted through the stool. This can occasionally result in constipation or diarrhea.  To avoid or deal with this situation:
1)    Take 3 Takesumi with water before you leave the office.
2)    Take 3 Takesumi every 2 waking hours until full amount is taken.  Takesumi should be away from prescription medication ( 30min before or 2 hours after)
3)    To avoid constipation, take 4 capsules of Fen-cho before bed.
4)    Remember to Ground for 10min.  Have your feet on a grounding surface for a minimum of 10 minutes at some time after your treatment, the same day.  This should happen before nightfall but you do not need to be in the sun, shade is fine.   Grounding surfaces include: Sand (beach), Grass (preferably moist) , Bare soil, Concrete and brick (not painted or sealed) , Ceramic tile. The following surfaces will NOT ground you:   Asphalt, Wood , Rubber and plastic, Vinyl , Tar or tarmac. You may be barefoot or wear socks made of natural fabric (cotton or wool) in cold weather, or wear shoes with leather soles.
5)    Drink extra water (purified) and increase your intake of natural sea salt slightly (to taste).  This will aid in detoxification and increase electrical conductivity in your body.  You may also add a little lemon or apple cider vinegar to your water.
6)    Plan on extra rest if necessary.
7)    Report any symptoms that cause concern to your TCT therapist.  Most people feel more vital and relaxed after a TCT treatment.  However, people with a heavy body burden of toxicity, especially those who have had chemotherapy, may feel sick, particularly after the first treatment.  Your TCT therapist can reassure you and suggest measures to help you feel better faster.  One such measure is the Epsom Salt Bath.
8)    Epsom Salt Bath.  Simply soak for at least 20 minutes in a bath to which has been added a cup of Epsom Salt (available at any drugstore).  A splash of vinegar, especially apple cider vinegar, increases the benefit of the bath.  Lemon Essential Oil is also useful if available; mix 3-4 drops into the Epsom Salt before stirring into bathwater. Rinse off in plain water afterward.
9)    If nursing, avoid nursing for at least 2 hours after your clay treatment.

Why these instructions?

Your body is finely tuned to "work" with the Earth in the sense that there's a constant flow of energy between your body and the Earth. When you put your feet on the ground, you absorb large amounts of negative electrons through the soles of your feet.

The effect is sufficient to maintain your body at the same negatively charged electrical potential as the Earth. This simple process is called "grounding" or "earthing," and its effect is one of the most potent antioxidants we know of.

Targeted Clay Therapy will help remove toxins, which are positively charged, from your body.  During the movement of toxins for excretion, there is the possibility of free radical damage and resultant inflammation as the toxins move through your system.  Antioxidants, whether from foods such as leafy greens, or from "grounding" contact with the earth, protect you from free radical damage.

Grounding has been shown to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve sleep, enhance wellbeing, and much, much more. When you wear rubber- or plastic-soled shoes, however, you are effectively shielding yourself from this beneficial influx of electrons from the Earth.

Grounding effectively alleviates inflammation because it infuses you with negatively charged ions through the soles of your feet.

Interestingly, grounding research has now discovered that if you place your feet on the ground after an injury, electrons will migrate into your body and spread through your tissues. Any free radicals that leak into the healthy tissue will immediately be electrically neutralized. This occurs because the electrons are negative, while the free radicals are positive, so they cancel each other out. As noted by Dr. James Oschman, an expert in the field of energy medicine:

"So really what is happening with grounding or earthing is that you're protecting your body from -- I call it, collateral damage… Damage that was not intended to take place but does take place because we have disconnected ourselves from the Earth by putting rubber and plastic on the bottoms of our shoes."

Free radical stress from exposure to pollution, cigarettes, insecticides, pesticides, trans fats, and radiation, just to name a few, continually deplete your body of electrons. Simply by getting outside, barefoot, touching the Earth, and allowing the excess charge in your body to discharge into the Earth, you can alleviate some of the stress continually put on your system. Walking barefoot can help ameliorate the constant assault of electromagnetic fields and other types of radiation from cell phones, computers, and Wi-Fi.

Many Americans spend most of their waking hours wearing shoes with rubber or plastic soles. These materials are very effective insulators, which is precisely why they're used to insulate electrical wires. Yet, they also effectively disconnect you from the Earth's natural electron flow. Wearing leather-soled shoes will allow you to stay grounded with the Earth, as will walking barefoot, as long as you are on the surfaces mentioned above.

An abstract from the Journal of Environmental and Public Health (http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jeph/2012/291541/) states:
Emerging scientific research has revealed a surprisingly positive and overlooked environmental factor on health: direct physical contact with the vast supply of electrons on the surface of the Earth. Modern lifestyle separates humans [and animals] from such contact. The research suggests that this disconnect may be a major contributor to physiological dysfunction and unwellness.

Reconnection with the Earth's electrons has been found to promote intriguing physiological changes and subjective reports of well-being. Earthing (or grounding) refers to the discovery of benefits—including better sleep and reduced pain—from walking barefoot outside or sitting, working, or sleeping indoors connected to conductive systems that transfer the Earth's electrons from the ground into the body.
